Jonathan Bennett teases Mean Girls Christmas reunion with Lindsay Lohan and Lacey Chabert

As Jonathan Bennett stars in Hallmark’s Season’s Greetings from Cherry Lane this year, he has pitched the idea of reuniting with former co-stars Lindsay Lohan and Lacey Chabert for a holiday-themed film—potentially gifting fans the reunion they didn’t know they needed.

In an interview with PeopleBennett, who played Aaron Samuels in the iconic 2004 teen comedy, expressed his enthusiasm. “There’s a huge connection between the fan base of Mean Girls and the fan base of Christmas movies,” he said. “These movies make people happy—and that’s the through line.”

With each of the stars headlining their own holiday films—Lohan in Netflix’s Our Little Secret and Chabert in Hot Frosty—Bennett said the timing feels perfect. “Now the question is, when do we get to combine it and do a movie for Christmas with Lacey Chabert, me, and Lindsay Lohan? That’s what I’m looking for, because I think that would make so many people happy. Let’s do it.”

Bennett’s idea comes as he steps into a new role hosting Finding Mr. Christmasa reality competition series on Hallmark+ searching for the next holiday heartthrob. Lohan’s Our Little Secret and Chabert’s Hot Frosty are both currently streaming on Netflix.

The Mean Girls franchise is experiencing a resurgence, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. A feature adaptation of the musical based on the original film hit theaters in January, continuing to cement the film’s place in pop culture.
