Jos Buttler has a chance to overtake Dhoni, will leave Rohit Sharma also behind in this matter

Desk. The last match of the 5-match T20 series being played between India and England has become very important for both the teams. Even though Team India has lost this series after losing three matches, now it is in danger of losing the number-1 position. The last match of this series will be played at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Southampton, in which England’s legendary wicketkeeper batsman Jos Buttler will have a chance to perform two big feats. If Buttler plays in this match, he will become the second player to play the most number of matches in T20 International, leaving behind Rohit Sharma and George Dockrell. If Buttler is successful in hitting a six in the fifth T20 match, then he will leave MS Dhoni behind and occupy the number-1 position in terms of hitting most sixes as a wicketkeeper in international cricket.

  • Jos Buttler currently holds the joint first position with former Team India captain MS Dhoni in terms of hitting the most sixes as a wicket-keeper batsman in all three formats of international cricket. Both Dhoni and Butler have hit 359 sixes. In such a situation, if Buttler is successful in hitting a six in the fifth T20 match, then he will leave Dhoni behind and occupy the number-1 position. On the other hand, if Butler plays in the fifth T20 match, he will leave Rohit Sharma and George Dockrell and reach the number-2 position in terms of playing most matches in T20 International. Butler, Rohit and Dockrell are currently jointly at second position in which all three have played 159 T20 International matches. The first number in this list is occupied by Ireland team player Paul Stirling who has played 163 T20 International matches.
