Left-arm spinner Joshua Bishop has been called up for the first time for a Test match appearance after being named in the West Indies squad for the two-match home series against Pakistan beginning in Trinidad on July 25.
The series will wrap up on August 6, with Roston Chase returning to lead the team after sitting out the recent one-day series against New Zealand due to a right index finger injury.
Warrican has been retained as vice-captain, while the selectors have made a few changes to the squad that secured a 1-0 Test series win over Sri Lanka last month.
Joshua Bishop Rewarded, McKenzie Returns
The 25-year-old seam bowler has taken a remarkable 91 wickets for both Barbados Pride and the West Indies Academy in the past three West Indies Championship campaigns, the best figures by any bowler during the competition.
The recalled batsman has been named in the Test squad for the first time since December 2024 after being passed fit to play following a left hamstring injury during the recent ODI series against New Zealand.

McKenzie burst back onto the scene with a sensational regional championship, hitting 323 runs at an astonishing average of 64.60 in six innings. Fast bowling all-rounder Alzarri Joseph was unavailable for selection due to personal commitments.
The opening Test between Windies vs Pakistan will be played from July 25 to 29 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy. It will also mark the first men’s Test match to be held at the venue. It is expected to be the 13th Test ground in the Caribbean.
The Second Test will be held from August 2 to 6 at the Queen’s Park Oval.
The Test series between Pakistan and West Indies is a critical fixture in the 2025–27 World Test Championship. West Indies currently sit eighth in the nine-team table while Pakistan are at the bottom of the standings. Both teams are looking to climb up the rankings.
