Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has started the recruitment process for 45 posts of Deputy Collector. For this, it is necessary for the candidate to be a graduate and the minimum age is fixed at 21 years. Selection will be through three stages—preliminary examination, main examination and interview. JPSC Deputy Collector Recruitment 2026: Jharkhand Public Service Commission has started the application process for 45 posts of Deputy Collector. This recruitment is for candidates making career in administrative services in Jharkhand. Applications will be online from March 21 to April 6. Eligible candidates must be graduate, selection will be done on the basis of preliminary examination, main examination and interview. The application fee is determined separately for general and reserved category.
Qualification and age limit
For the post of Deputy Collector, it is mandatory for the candidate to be a graduate from a recognized university or institute. Apart from this, other educational and essential qualifications decided by the Commission will also have to be fulfilled.
The age limit has been kept minimum 21 years. Reserved category candidates will be given age relaxation as per government rules. This rule ensures that only qualified and experienced candidates are included in the selection process.

Candidates will be selected in this recruitment in three stages: preliminary examination, main examination and interview. The preliminary examination will consist of two papers, each of 2 hours duration. Candidates who pass the preliminary examination will appear in the main examination and if successful, they will be called for interview.

The application fee for general category as well as SC and ST candidates is fixed at Rs 100. The fee for SC and ST candidates of Jharkhand state is Rs 50.
