Judge Aman Sharma Suicide Case: Even after a month, Delhi Police is still empty handed in the Judge Aman Sharma suicide case. Aman, 30, was working as the full-time secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) at Karkardooma Court in the North-East District. On May 2, 2026, fed up with the mental torture of his wife, he committed suicide. It is almost a month since the suicide of Aman Kumar Sharma. Till now no accused has been arrested.
The family is angry over no concrete action being taken so far in the Judge Aman Sharma suicide case. Aman Sharma’s father Prem Kumar Sharma said that the police are continuously interrogating. They are also giving full cooperation in the investigation, but no one has been arrested yet.
The family cited the example of the quick action of the police in Bhopal’s famous Twisha Sharma case and said that within just 10 days the police arrested her husband. Mother-in-law has also been arrested. The court has also sent both of them on remand for 5 days. The Supreme Court itself took cognizance of the case and handed over the investigation to the CBI. Even after the death of a judge, neither any arrest has been made nor any administrative action has been taken against the accused. My son’s murderers are still breathing peace in the open sky. At the same time, we are living by drinking blood and tears. Aman Sharma’s father became emotional and said that after the death of his son, only darkness was left in the house. He said that peace was his everything and now he has nothing left.
Five people accused in the case
Citing the allegations registered in the FIR, the family said that five people are accused in this case. The biggest accused are Nidhi and Swati. While his parents and Yudhveer have also been accused of cooperation and saving the accused. The family says that all the facts have been mentioned in the FIR and statements have also been recorded in the court. Despite this, no concrete action is being taken against the accused.
Know the whole matter
Actually the whole matter is of May 2. Judge Aman Sharma’s father told that the night before the incident, Aman had called me at around 10 pm. On the phone he said that he was very upset and his life had become difficult. Hearing this, he tried to control his son and asked what was the matter. Aman told about the problems in his relationship with his wife. On hearing this, the father left for Delhi from Alwar the same night and reached home at around 12 o’clock.
On reaching home, Judge Aman told his father about the long-running dispute between his wife Swati. Aman told his father that he was under extreme mental stress for the last two months and was being harassed continuously. He also told that his wife has complete control in the house and everything is considered hers. Aman’s wife is also a judicial officer, while his sister is an IAS officer and posted in Jammu. After hearing the son’s pain, the father tried to handle the situation. When he tried to talk to his daughter-in-law in this regard, she asked him to leave the house and threatened that if he did not leave, she would call the police and get him locked up. After this the father tried to contact the daughter-in-law’s parents, but they had blocked his number.
Aman had given verdict in many cases
According to official records, Sharma joined Delhi Judicial Services on June 19, 2021. During his service, he heard cases as JMFC and civil judge. Sharma, a law graduate from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, is working as the full-time Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) in the Karkardooma Court of North-East District from October 2025.
