Ashok Kumar Sahu, resident of local police station area, resident of village Bullock cart, Jugail district, Sonbhadra, was defrauded of Rs 50,000/- by unknown persons through phone pay on 30.11.2025. In relation to which a complaint was lodged by the applicant through cyber helpline number 1930 and cyber crime portal (cybercrime.gov.in).

As part of the campaign being run against cyber crime and criminals by Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra Abhishek Verma and under the direction of Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Anil Kumar and under the supervision of Area Officer Obara Amit Kumar and under the able leadership of Police Station Head Jugail Jitendra Kumar, the cyber team of the police station Jugail visited the NCRP portal and the total amount of fraud of the applicant, Rs 50,000/-, was held in the concerned account. After collecting the necessary evidence from the NCRP portal and email correspondence with the concerned bank branch, the total amount of Rs 50,000/- held in the fraud account was successfully returned to its original bank account. The cyber team of Police Station Jugail was highly praised by the applicant.

The team that returned the money mainly included Jitendra Kumar, Police Station Head Jugail, Police Inspector Umashankar Giri, MCA Keshakali, Cyber ​​Help Desk, Cyber ​​Help Desk.
