According to Indian media reports, when asked who the richest actress in Bollywood is names like Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra or Aishwarya Rai Bachchan may come to mind but these are incorrect. A 56-year-old actress has outpaced all the high-earning actresses who charge between 4 to 8 crores per film.
In the Hurun Rich List 2024, Juhi Chawla is named as the richest actress in Bollywood and it may surprise you to learn that no Bollywood actress comes even close to her wealth. According to the Hurun Rich List 2024, Juhi Chawla has a total wealth of approximately 152 billion rupees (4,600 crores INR).
A significant portion of Juhi Chawla’s income comes from business ventures as she holds a major stake in the Red Chillies Group. Additionally, she is a co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL and her husband is millionaire businessman Jay Mehta.
Juhi has also invested in joint ventures with her husband and is involved in real estate investments. Her last notable film was ‘Luck By Chance’ in 2009 which had a production budget of 150 million rupees and grossed 290 million rupees though her subsequent films did not achieve significant success.
Aishwarya Rai is second on the list with assets worth 28 billion rupees. Priyanka Chopra comes in third with a total property value of 21.47 billion rupees.
Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt also feature in the top five richest actresses with Alia’s assets valued at 18.17 billion rupees and Deepika’s at 16.52 billion rupees.

Media reports indicate that Kapil Sharma charges 5 crore rupees per show and his total wealth is estimated at 991 million rupees.
According to Fortune India, Kapil Sharma paid 26 crore rupees in taxes in the fiscal year 2024.
