Julie Andrews shares rare message after turning 90

British acting legend Dame Julie Andrews has shared a rare public message for the first time since she turned 90.

The actress, who is known for classics like Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music, shared the message for the World Parkinson’s Congress.

The 90-year-old appeared in a video message shared on YouTube by the World Parkinson Coalition on Monday.

In the video she addressed attendees at the event saying “Good evening, everyone, I’m Julie Andrews and I’m pleased to welcome you to the seventh World Parkinson’s Congress.”

She added “Your participation is invaluable as we seek to find a cure to this terrible disease. I know well how devastating it can be.”

The icon turned 90 in October 2025 celebrating a long successful career that began from theatre as she went on to win several awards becoming one of the greatest actresses ever.

She is a mother of three daughters and further has nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The Oscar-winning actress now lives a quieter life in New York and while she is in great health for her age, she has shared her issues with arthritis.
