♦ Entertainment : We all know the extent to which nepotism is prevalent in Bollywood. It is a tough task for newcomers to enter the industry and make a name for themselves, and it is just as easy for nepo kids to get part-time roles. At least they are being offered bigger roles from outside. This has been recently admitted by Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan.
Junaid admitted that he was offered the role of 'Maharaj' because he is Aamir Khan's son. He said that if Aamir's name was not behind him, it would have been very difficult to get this role. In a show on NDTV Yuva, Junaid talked about his difficulties in the industry. Junaid was asked how he faced rejection before getting the lead role. He said, “I think as actors we try a lot of things, sometimes we don't get it, of course by the time I got it, it had already come to me.”
Meanwhile, Junaid told that he had also auditioned for Aamir Khan's film Lal Singh Chaddha. He said that his father (Aamir Khan) liked my audition but I could not do it due to the budget of the film. The budget of the film was so high that it was not possible to select new actors.
