Jungkook’s mother melts hearts at BTS Seoul concert
Seoul: BTS member Jungkook’s mother is receiving praise from fans after actress Ko So-young revealed a heartwarming interaction that took place during BTS’ ARIRANG World Tour concert in Seoul. The touching story, which recently surfaced through Ko So-young’s YouTube vlog, has delighted ARMYs worldwide and once again highlighted the close bond between BTS and their fans.
BTS launched their much-anticipated ARIRANG World Tour on April 9, 2026, at Goyang Stadium in Seoul. During the second day of the concert, several BTS members’ parents were spotted attending the event. Among them, Jungkook’s mother particularly caught the attention of fans after she was seen warmly interacting with nearby attendees and distributing candies during the concert.
One of the people who received the candy was South Korean actress Ko So-young, who later opened up about the memorable moment in a video uploaded on her YouTube channel.
Ko So-young reveals touching interaction
In her vlog titled “Ko So-young’s wardrobe, human Chanel, revealed for the first time in 35 years since debut,” the actress proudly showed the candy gifted to her by Jungkook’s mother. While speaking to her production team, she explained how the interaction happened during the concert.
Ko So-young said she attended the performance and happened to be seated next to Jungkook’s parents. According to the actress, the singer’s parents were extremely kind and friendly throughout the event.

She recalled that Jungkook’s mother greeted her warmly and mentioned that she wanted to give her something despite not carrying any gifts. She then took candies out of her pocket and offered them to the actress.
Ko So-young shared that there were originally three candies. However, one was eaten by her daughter Yoon-Seul and another by the actress herself, leaving only one piece remaining.
The actress jokingly admitted that she now treasures the final candy so much that she cannot bring herself to eat it.
Fans online found the interaction adorable and praised Jungkook’s mother for her humble and caring personality. Several ARMYs noted that the gesture reflected the warmth and kindness often associated with Jungkook himself.

Ko So-young further revealed that after the concert ended, she met Jungkook backstage and mentioned that his mother had given her candy during the performance.
According to the actress, Jungkook immediately recognised what she was talking about and casually responded, “Ah, that candy.”
She added that she later discovered Jungkook’s mother regularly carries the sweets with her. The revelation amused fans, many of whom pointed out that Jungkook appears to have inherited his thoughtful and affectionate personality from his mother.
Interestingly, fans also noticed Jungkook himself distributing candies to ARMYs during the concert soundcheck session, making the sweet gesture even more meaningful for supporters.

Following the Seoul concerts, BTS recently completed a highly successful three-day run in Mexico City at Estadio GNP Seguros. The concerts reportedly attracted nearly 1.5 lakh fans inside the venue, while an estimated 70,000 additional fans gathered outside, creating a historic atmosphere around the stadium.
Before beginning their Mexico performances, BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook also met Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum at the National Palace. Following their meeting, the group greeted thousands of fans gathered at Mexico City’s Zócalo plaza from the palace balcony.
