Junior Auditor's house raided, property worth crores, cash, luxury cars and pistols seized… machine called for counting notes

Big action by Lokayukta in Bhopal, raid at house of government employee

Bhopal/Read. Bhopal Lokayukta Raids: Lokayukta team raided the house of Junior Auditor of Technical Education Department Ramesh Hingorani in Madhya Pradesh and seized property, cash and luxury vehicles worth crores. The amount of cash was so much that a machine had to be called to count it. Hingorani is also accused of grabbing government land. The Lokayukta team raided Ramesh Hingorani's bungalow in Bairagarh, Bhopal, his house, Higher Secondary School in Gandhinagar, Kiran Prerna School and Marriage Garden.

In the investigation so far, gold and silver jewelery worth Rs 70 lakh, more than Rs 12 lakh in cash and 4 luxury vehicles have been seized. A machine was needed to count the money. During the raid, the Lokayukta team seized four luxury cars like Creta and Scorpio, 1014 grams of gold and 1021 grams of silver jewelery from Hingorani. Apart from this, cash and property documents worth Rs 12,17,950 have also been seized and their investigation is ongoing.

A country-made pistol was also seized during the raid (Bhopal Lokayukta Raids) at Hingorani's school in Gandhinagar, after which the Gandhinagar police was informed. A case has been registered against his son Nilesh Hingorani under the Illegal Arms Act. Ramesh Hingorani and his sons Yogesh and Nilesh are also accused of grabbing government land worth crores.

The Hingorani family was running three schools under 'Lakshmi Devi Vikyomal Sarafa Education Society', in which their children were appointed without any qualification at huge salaries. Investigation is also going on against him for violation of government rules. Preliminary investigation found that the assets and expenses registered in the name of Hingorani and his family were far in excess of the sources of income. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act and investigation has been started.
