Actually, junior doctors have decided to end the hunger strike. This decision has been taken after meeting West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. According to the information, the strike has been ended with the request of the family of the deceased doctor and an oath to carry forward the struggle. Let us tell you that in the case of rape and murder of a doctor in RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, the junior doctor was on strike in Dharmatala for the last 17 days.

Junior Doctors Front will not accept the condition of the state government

Let us tell you that the junior doctors of West Bengal were on hunger strike for their demands. In this matter, the state government had said that the doctors would have to end their hunger strike to participate in the meeting, but the Junior Doctors Front, which was leading the movement, had clearly said that it would accept the condition of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. A total time of 45 minutes was fixed for the meeting with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Last Saturday, October 19, West Bengal Chief Secretary Manoj Pant had invited junior doctors to meet Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today i.e. Monday (October 21, 2024).
