Junior Women’s Hockey World Cup: The journey of the Indian women’s team in the Junior Women’s Hockey World Cup ended after the defeat by Spain. The Indian women’s hockey team had to face defeat from Spain in the Junior Hockey World Cup. After this defeat, the Indian team remained at 10th place in the list of total teams participating in the tournament. The Indian team had to face defeat by 2-1. The only goal for the Indian team was scored by Kanika Siwach (41′). Natalia Vilanova (16′) and Esther Canales (36′) scored goals for Spain.

Indian team could score only one goal on 41st minute
In the 36th minute, Sonam converted a pass into a goal for India, but Spain took a video referral which was successful. The referee saw a back stick and canceled the goal. In the 36th minute, Spain’s Esther Canales converted a penalty corner into a goal. This goal gave Spain a 2-0 lead and strengthened its hold on the match. In the 41st minute, India got two consecutive penalty corners. Kanika Siwach (41′) scored the first goal for India by beating the Spanish goalkeeper with her strike.
