‘Just dream, you won’t get Bagram’, Taliban warns Trump

Almost five years have passed since the return of US troops from Afghanistan. At this time, US President Donald Trump’s goal is to capture the Bagram Air Base in the ‘Kabuliwala’s country’ again. Last year, Trump expressed such a desire. This time the Taliban punched him.

Speaking to an all-India media outlet, Taliban Information and Culture Minister Muhajir Farahi said, “Trump can capture Bagram Air Base, but only in a dream.” It should be noted that this airbase located in the north of Kabul was once occupied by the Soviets. After 9/11, Afghanistan was occupied by the US after the US attack. As soon as they left the country in August 2021, it was taken over by the Taliban. Although Trump claims, America should retake that airbase to crush China. And they keep trying. He can be heard saying, “We’re trying to get it back. We want it back.” Trump even told former British Prime Minister Keir Starmer that withdrawing troops from Bagram was one of the biggest mistakes of the Biden administration. He reminded that if the base, which is an hour away from China’s nuclear base, is occupied, the pressure on Beijing can be increased. This time Trump was actually warned by the Taliban.

It should be noted that Pakistan and Afghanistan have been involved in a bloody conflict since last February. Pakistan alleges that Afghanistan is harboring several militant groups including the TTP. Airstrikes were carried out in Afghanistan to eliminate them. In response to continuous Pakistani attacks, the Afghan army attacked across the Pakistani border on the night of February 26. Trump has angered the Taliban by saying that he should stand by Pakistan in this conflict. Now he was reminded that capturing the Afghan air base is a dream for him.
