Justice Sanjeev Khanna appointed as Chief Justice of India, tenure will start from November 11

New Delhi: Justice Sanjiv Khanna will be the next Chief Justice of India. The government issued a notification in this regard. Current Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud had decided to step down from his post with effect from November 11 and had sent a recommendation to the government to make Justice Sanjiv Khanna the Chief Justice.

Who is Justice Sanjeev Khanna?

Talking about Justice Sanjeev Khanna, he has been a judge in Delhi High Court for 14 years. He was born on 14 May 1960. He studied law from the Campus Law Center of Delhi University. After graduation, he registered as an advocate with the Delhi Bar Council in 1983. He was elevated to the Supreme Court in 2019.
