K-Wave Festival 2024: EXO’s Suho, and Hyolyn to arrive India for the musical celebration

In 2024, the K-Wave Festival is set to return to India with its second iteration. With a stellar lineup that includes soloist Hyolyn and major K-pop performers Suho from EXO, the event will take place in Mumbai and Bangalore this time. a lively celebration of K-pop, food, and culture that aims to highlight the growing impact of Korean culture in India.

This event offers a unique experience where local talents and well-known K-pop artists join together for an exciting cultural fusion, blending the dynamic world of K-pop with global variety.

The festival made its debut in 2023, with performances from K-pop stars such as X:IN and Kim Woojin.

The event, which is set for October 18 at Mumbai’s Bayview Lawns and October 20 at Bangalore’s Phoenix Marketcity (rear area), promises a lively blend of K-pop shows, food, and cultural displays. With tickets starting at INR 2,499, fans can take in live performances by well-known K-pop stars as well as up-and-coming performers.

About EXO’s Suho

Suho from the well-known third-generation K-pop group EXO will grace the occasion. born Kim Junmyeon, made his EXO debut in 2012 as a member and leader. On March 30, 2020, the artist released his lengthy play, Self-Portrait, marking his eagerly awaited solo debut.

After his mandatory military enrollment, he released Grey Suit, his second solo album, in 2023. Additionally, with albums 1 through 3 and the title single of the same name, he made his third solo appearance.

Suho has also dabbled in acting, making appearances in series including How Are U Bread, Rich Man, Middle School Girl A, One Way Trip, and The Universe’s Star. His most recent appearance was in the 2023 K-drama Behind Your Touch. In addition, he starred in the historical drama Missing Crown Prince in 2024.

He starred in the 2018 musical The Man Who Laughs, where he was praised by the crowd and performed a crucial part. In 2023, he was also cast in Mozart!, another musical that was performed in Seoul’s Sejong Center from June to August.

About Hyolyn

Hyolyn, a former SISTAR member and K-pop soloist, will also perform at the event. Following her special performance in the K-pop India Contest in 2021, this will be the artist’s second appearance.

With her strong vocals and captivating stage presence, the former leader and lead vocalist of the legendary K-pop girl group SISTAR has established a prosperous solo career.

She started a solo career after SISTAR broke up in 2017, with singles like “Dally,” “See Sea,” and “You Know Better.”
