Kaithal Murder Case: A very heart-wrenching and soul-shattering incident has happened in Kaithal district of Haryana. Here a husband brutally murdered his wife. Not only the murder, but after the incident, she completely fearlessly called her mother-in-law and confessed to the murder. He told his mother-in-law, ‘I have killed your daughter. If I don’t believe it, what photo should I send?’ The entire area was shocked to hear this. The accused husband is still absconding and the police is busy searching for him.
The name of the deceased was Shalu. She was originally a resident of Bathinda district of Punjab. Shalu’s mother Sunita Devi has given a complaint to the police. She told that the accused husband Arun had already hatched the conspiracy for this murder. A few days ago Shalu had gone to her maternal home (mother’s house). Arun called her and made a false excuse that she had to worship Kuldevi during Navratri, so she should return home.
The accused was a drug addict
Shalu agreed to her husband’s advice and returned to her in-laws’ house. Little did he know that this call would prove to be his death trap. According to family members, Shalu and Arun were married in June 2018. After a few months of marriage, Arun’s real face started appearing. He was addicted to chitta (a heroin-like drug) and injections. Instead of doing business, he used to do wrong things like theft. Sunita Devi got him freed from the police by giving him money several times. He even mortgaged his daughter’s jewellery, paid off Arun’s loan and also paid the electricity bills. Despite having two small children, Arun’s beatings and atrocities never stopped.
How did the murder happen?
This entire incident happened on Friday night itself. Domestic fights continued throughout the night. Drunk Arun strangled Shalu to death. After the murder, he remained near the dead body the whole night. On Saturday afternoon he reached his sister-in-law Damini. Damini was cleaning the house. Arun said coolly, ‘Sister-in-law, I have killed my wife. Now you take charge. Saying this he ran away from there. When sister-in-law went into the room, she saw that Shalu’s body was lying on the bed. The whole house was immersed in sensation.

After the murder, Arun called Shalu’s mother (mother-in-law) Sunita Devi. When Sunita did not believe it, she said, ‘If I don’t believe it, should I send the photo?’ After this he broke Shalu’s mobile phone so that the police could not trace the location. Then he absconded.

City police station SHO Geeta said that on the complaint of Sunita Devi, a case has been registered against Arun under sections of murder. The forensic team has collected evidence from the spot. Police are conducting raids in search of accused Arun and any other suspect. Preliminary investigation seems to be a case related to domestic dispute and drug addiction. But the police is investigating every aspect in depth. This incident has spread panic in the entire area and people are worried about the safety of women.
