Kajal, Shreyas film The India Story to release July 24

Mumbai: Actors Kajal Aggarwal and Shreyas Talpade are set to headline the upcoming socio-national drama The India Story, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 24.

Presented by Zee Studios in association with MIG Production & Studios, the film is directed by Chettan DK and written and produced by Sagar B Shinde.

Focus on chemical misuse crisis

Also referred to as The India Story: Slow Poison in Progress, the film centres on the consequences of chemical misuse, particularly in pesticide farming and related sectors.

According to the makers, the narrative goes beyond the struggles of an individual family and highlights a broader public health concern affecting communities across the country.

Producer Sagar B Shinde said the film was conceived to shed light on an issue that often remains overlooked despite its widespread impact.

“The misuse of chemicals, especially in pesticide farming, is not just an environmental concern, it’s a human crisis,” he said, adding that the film aims to spark awareness and meaningful dialogue around accountability and reform.
