Kajol’s film ‘Maa’ will premiere on Star Gold on Women’s Day.

Entertainment: According to the network, this line-up will feature many films based on female characters from different genres. The list includes biographical dramas like Mary Kom and Shabaash Mithu, action films like Mardaani 2 and Yashoda, as well as films like Mimi, Damini, Neerja and Stree 2.

The programming will run across the network’s nine Hindi movie channels—Star Gold, Star Gold 2, Star Gold Romance, Star Gold Thrills, Star Utsav Movies, Star Gold Select, Colors Cineplex, Colors Cineplex Bollywood and Colors Cineplex Superhits. The aim of this initiative is to showcase a collection of women-based stories through different cinematic stories throughout the day.

At the center of the programming slate is the television premiere of Mom, which focuses on the emotional bond between a mother and her family. The film’s television debut is slated to be a highlight of the network’s Women’s Day line-up.

Sharing her thoughts on the occasion, Kajol said, “I am really glad that Maa is premiering on TV as part of Star Gold’s Women’s Day celebrations. The film showcases the emotional strength and courage of a mother, and at the heart, it is a story of unconditional love and the courage to save what matters most. I feel proud that it is being shown on a day that celebrates women and their journey. I am glad that this story will now reach millions of families across the country when it premieres on 7th March at 8 pm on Star Gold.”
