‘Kalki 2898 AD 2’ release update: Fans will have to wait a long time, release may be postponed till 2027

New Delhi. A new update has come out regarding the sequel of Prabhas’s blockbuster sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD. The second part of the film is much discussed among the fans, but the wait for its release may be longer.

According to reports, the shooting of Kalki 2 is expected to be completed by April 2026. After this, due to the heavy VFX and post-production work of the film, its release may happen by the end of 2027 i.e. in December. Earlier there was talk of bringing it by the end of 2026, but due to the large scale the schedule may get extended.

In the second part of the film, the story will be taken forward in more depth, in which mythological elements and emotional drama will get more importance. The fight against Supreme Yaskin is said to be the main focus of the story, with new characters also being added.




  • According to reports, the shooting of key scenes of big stars like Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan will be completed by 2026. The film is being produced on an even bigger scale than before, and will include high-end action and visual effects.

    At the same time, it is also being discussed that Deepika Padukone will not be a part of this Part 2, because the makers could not agree on the schedule and working conditions.
