Williamson told the plan
When Williamson was asked about his future in Test cricket, he did not give any concrete answer and said that at the moment he cannot make any promises about playing for New Zealand again. New Zealand, who are the 2021 World Test Champions, do not have any Test series scheduled for the coming eight months. His next challenge will be the two-Test series against Zimbabwe in July.
Williamson said in the press conference, “All this is still a long way off. Right now I am just focusing on the present and the remaining summer of cricket. In the coming time, cricket is to be played in different formats, and there is also Champions Trophy, which will be very exciting. I love test cricket. As you said, the Test cricket schedule is quite empty at the moment, so let's see what happens next.”
It is noteworthy that former captain Williamson had refused to take the central contract of New Zealand Cricket Board a year ago, due to which questions were raised about his career. There is curiosity among the fans about the next season of the World Test Championship (WTC).
