New Delhi: Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut’s recent visit to Varanasi sparked an online buzz after a media handle shared a video accusing the actress of littering roads in the city.
In the video, Kangana was seen enjoying the city’s famous street food, tikiya chaat.
A section of internet users claimed that the actress flung the plate on the road after eating, thereby littering the city roads.
Kangana hit back at the media outlet which shared the video, calling the report misleading and asked it to verify facts before publishing.
Setting the record straight, the actress took to her Instagram Stories and shared a picture of herself at the street food stall, which had a dustbin where she apparently disposed of the plate.
Along with the picture, she wrote, “Verify facts before publishing lies.”
