Varanasi29 December. Ishwardev Mishra XI defeated Vidya Bhaskar XI by eight wickets with 18 balls remaining in the final Group A match of the 38th Kanishkadev Gorawala Memorial Media Cricket Competition under the Anand Chandola Sports Festival on Monday at Dr. Sampurnanand Sports Complex, Sigra.
Paradkar XI won in triangular fight
At present, the first win of Ishwardev Mishra XI in the group of three teams remained meaningless for it because after one win each of the three teams, former champion Paradkar XI booked the ticket for the final on the basis of better net run rate. It is noteworthy that after losing to Vidya Bhaskar XI in the first match, Paradkar XI, after scoring 182 runs on Saturday, had significantly improved its net run rate with the victory over Ishwardev XI, which proved meaningful today.
Vidya Bhaskar XI had scored 135 runs
Talking about the match, Vidya Bhaskar XI, forced to bat first, defeated Vinay Singh (29 runs, 35 balls, one four) O.P. With the useful innings of Singh (22 runs, 26 balls, two fours), Rahul Singh (22 runs, 13 balls, four fours) and Raj Kumar (19 runs, 16 balls, two fours), India scored 135 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Pankaj (3-21) and Shivam (2-16) were the main wicket takers.

Abhishek-Kashinath’s century partnership became decisive
In response, the strong half-centuries of opener ‘Player of the Match’ Abhishek (58 runs not out, 42 balls, three sixes, four fours) and Kashinath (50 runs, 39 balls, seven fours) and a century partnership of 111 runs between them proved to be decisive for Ishwardev Mishra XI, which achieved an easy victory by scoring 138 runs for two wickets in 17 overs.
Virendra (11 not out, six balls, one six) returned with a winning smile along with Abhishek. The only wicket for Vidya Bhaskar XI was O.P. Singh took it out. R.P. Gupta and Manohar Lal performed the umpiring duties while Vipin Kumar did the scoring.

The chief guest of the fifth day of the competition organized under the banner of Varanasi Press Club run by Kashi Journalist Association was Deepak Bajaj, Chairman of Jaipuria School and special guest was Assistant Registrar, Society and Chit Anoop Mishra. Both the guests got introduced to the players.
tuesday match , According to sports coordinator Krishna Bahadur Rawat, the final match of Group B will be played between Garde XI and Hriday Prakash XI on Tuesday at 10.30 am. The winning team of this match will face Paradkar XI in the final on Wednesday (31st December).
