According to the information, Ravi Shankar, the elder son of Bithoor resident Bitola Devi, lived separately with his wife Veerangana and two children. Ravi Shankar was married to Veerangana, a resident of Banda, in the year 2019. The couple has two small children. According to family members, on Wednesday Veerangana had gone to her sisters’ house in Panki. There she drank alcohol and returned home late at night in an intoxicated state.
This is how the controversy started
When Ravi Shankar protested against his wife’s drug addiction and raised questions about her going out leaving the children, an altercation started between the two. The argument escalated so much that in anger Veerangana picked up an ax kept in the house and attacked her husband. Seriously injured Ravi Shankar fell on the floor and blood spread on the spot.

After the incident, Veerangana called her mother-in-law Bitola Devi and told her that Ravi Shankar had met with an accident. The family members took him to the hospital, where he died during treatment. When the mother-in-law returned home, she saw that the daughter-in-law was cleaning blood on the floor. When in doubt, he immediately informed the police.
Blood stained ax found in house
During police investigation, a blood stained ax was recovered from the house. The police became suspicious of the accident story because there were no signs of blood outside the house. After strict interrogation, Veerangana confessed to her crime. The police have arrested the accused wife. A case of murder has been registered on the complaint of the younger brother of the deceased.
