‘Ban him from IPL as soon as possible…’ World Champion captain got angry, gave such statement, went viral

IPL: Now only 3 days are left for the start of the 19th season of the Indian Premier League. After that, the blast of the shortest format of cricket is going to thrill the fans. Even before that, this much talked about league has come under the scanner. England batsman Ben Duckett has refused to play in IPL 2026 and come to India. Since then, demands are being raised to ban them. Before him, his compatriot Harry Brook has also done this in IPL 2025. Brook had withdrawn his name from playing IPL. After this, Indian Premier League took action against him and banned him for 2 years.

Now amidst all this, former Indian captain Kapil Dev has given a big statement. He took a dig at the players not coming to play in the IPL or coming late and asked BCCI and IPL to take action against them.

Kapil Dev gave a big statement on foreign players

Kapil Dev said, ‘Players who are deliberately delaying or are not coming to play for India without any injury or good reason. He should be banned from IPL as soon as possible. Because of this the franchisee faces a lot of problems. Franchises should also remove them from their teams and sign new players in their place, because these players are getting good money from India but there is no point in doing so. Therefore, he should be completely banned from IPL very soon.

Kapil Dev’s statement is correct in a sense. He knows how much trouble there is in conducting IPL due to this kind of attitude of the players. But in a way, if players choose to play for their nation and do not participate in IPL for their national duty, then this is also right. But when these players do not have to play in IPL then why do they put their names in the IPL auction.
