Famous Indian comedian Kapil Sharma has surpassed all other hosts to become the highest-paid TV host in India.
Kapil started his show in 2013 with ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ and later gained public attention through ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ from 2016 to 2023. Bollywood stars often appear on his comedy program to promote their films where they engage in humorous conversations and play games.
Indian media reports that Kapil Sharma earns millions per episode making him India’s most expensive host.
According to Money Control, Kapil Sharma earns INR 50 million (5 crores) per episode of his show. His total earnings have reportedly reached INR 3 billion (300 crores).
It is also reported that Kapil lives in a INR 150 million (15 crores) apartment in Andheri, Mumbai owns a farm house worth INR 250 million (25 crores) and possesses three luxury cars worth INR 55 million (5.5 crores) including a vanity van.
Meanwhile, comedian Sunil Grover who also appeared on the show earns INR 2.5 million (25 lakhs) per episode.
Additionally, Kapil has ventured into the world of Netflix with his show ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ where he continues to entertain audiences.
