Kapil Sharma recalls going bankrupt after making two films

Mumbai Mumbai. Kapil Sharma, one of the most popular comedians of the Indian entertainment industry, was recently declared the richest television actor in India, surpassing even Rupali Ganguly. However, things weren't always so good for the now richest comedian. In a podcast titled 'Feel It in Your Soul', the popular comedian had revealed how his wife Ginni Chatrath had helped him overcome a difficult phase in his life. Kapil revealed that he invested money to produce two films, however, he lost all the money and went bankrupt as the films did not do well. The actor also revealed that he went into depression after this. Kapil says that these were the lessons of his life and if they were not there, he would not have been able to learn anything from them. Kapil said, “I spent a lot of money, my bank balance is absolutely zero. Ginni took the menu because I was depressed. I earned everything and then I was empty.”

Today, the actor and comedian has a net worth of Rs 300 crore, which is the highest net worth of any television actor. Kapil, who is currently hosting a show on Netflix, has also been embroiled in controversies. One controversy, which shocked his fans, was his feud with Sunil Grover.
