However, recently his concerts in Lucknow and Ludhiana have been cancelled. This decision is believed to have been taken due to the controversy that arose after his last show in Mumbai.

Karan Aujla started his tour on 28 February at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi, after which he performed in Kolkata on 3 April. On March 3, he had a special Holi concert at MMRDA Ground in Mumbai, which later got embroiled in controversies.

Many people complained about poor management during the Mumbai concert. Due to large crowd, a stampede like situation was created. Many people even became unconscious due to the intense heat. After this incident, the organizers and management were heavily criticized on social media.

Why were Lucknow and Ludhiana shows cancelled?

After the Mumbai controversy, now the shows in Lucknow (10 April) and Ludhiana (12 April) have also been cancelled. Ticketing platform District has started the process of ticket refund citing ‘logistical difficulties’. According to a Lucknow administration official, there were several reasons behind the show’s cancellation – such as not getting a liquor license, difficulty in availability of space, and low ticket sales. It was told that the tickets were very expensive, due to which the number of people was less than expected.

According to a source in the organizing team, after the Mumbai incident, Karan Aujla and his team now want to do shows in other cities only when all the arrangements are completely correct. Therefore, at present ‘logistics’ is being said to be the main reason.

A screenshot is also going viral on the social media platform Reddit, in which District, while replying to a fan, has confirmed the show’s cancellation. It was also said that the money will be returned within 5-7 working days.

Preparation for Jaipur show and Mumbai 2.0

However, the concert to be held in Jaipur on April 5 will still take place as scheduled. Apart from this, Karan Aujla has also announced a new show ‘Mumbai 2.0’ in Mumbai, which will be held on 12th April.
