Karnataka government held RCB responsible for the stampede during RCB’s victory celebration Gujarati
Bangalore: The Karnataka government has submitted a detailed report in the High Court regarding the stampede that took place during the victory celebrations of IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore in Bengaluru. In this report, the government has held RCB completely responsible for the scam. The team’s experienced player and former captain Virat Kohli has also been mentioned in it. Karnataka government has said that RCBA did not take permission for the victory celebration. Serious negligence has been mentioned in the report. The Central Administrative Tribunal had held RCB responsible for the stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium on June 4. RCBA had suddenly announced to organize a victory parade on social media without police permission, due to which lakhs of people gathered outside the stadium. 11 people lost their lives during the stampede. He has held RCB and Karnataka State Cricket Association responsible.
The Karnataka government had said in the report that there was a lot of carelessness during the victory parade and there were no proper arrangements. DNA Network Private Limited, the company organizing this event, had informed the police on June 3 itself, but did not take permission as per the 2009 order. To avoid any incident, the police had given permission for a limited programme, but more people than expected were present at the programme. Kohli is an experienced player of the team and he is also the face of RCB. The government had said in the report that RCBA had shared a video of Virat Kohli on social media to promote a public program on June 4. Through the video, Kohli had asked fans to attend the program for free.
