Tumkuru (Karnataka): A hair-raising incident has come to light from Tumkuru district of Karnataka. Here on National Highway-48 on Saturday, a lover blew up a moving cab with a bomb with the intention of committing suicide with his ex-girlfriend. In this horrific blast, the mad lover burnt to death on the spot, while his ex-girlfriend narrowly escaped because she jumped out of the car in time. The cab driver also suffered serious burns in the incident. Both the injured were immediately admitted to the nearest hospital. According to the police, the deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Nagendran. Due to this sudden explosion and fire of the car on the highway, there was a traffic jam of about one kilometer long on NH-48.

According to eyewitnesses, a speeding car suddenly stopped with a jerk on the highway near Sira taluk Jogihalli. As soon as the car stopped, a girl jumped out of it in a very nervous state. Before anyone could understand anything, there was a massive explosion inside the car and the entire car turned into a ball of fire. As soon as the explosion occurred, the cab driver somehow managed to get out of the burning car, but Nagendran, sitting behind, got trapped in the flames and debris, due to which he burnt to death on the spot.

Kidnapped from home after blocking

Initial investigation by the local police has revealed that Nagendran and the victim woman, who is an operation technician by profession, were earlier in a relationship. Their relationship was not going well for some time. Fed up with Nagendran’s actions, the woman had recently blocked his number. Nagendran got so upset due to the number being blocked that on Saturday morning he went straight to the woman’s house and kidnapped her from there. When the parents did not find their daughter at home, they immediately lodged a police complaint. Death

After kidnapping the woman by showing her explosives and threatening to kill her, Nagendran started taking the woman out of the city. He was threatening the woman in the car by showing her explosives and also pressurizing her to commit suicide. When the girl protested, he took out a knife and attacked her. As soon as the cab driver stopped the car after hearing the screams, the girl immediately jumped out. But before the driver could save himself, Nagendran activated the explosive.

District Police Officer Ashok K.V. informed that fragments of bomb-like explosive material have been found from the wreckage of the car, which have been sent for forensic investigation (FSL). Police say that Nagendran had come with complete planning, but the biggest question is that from where and how did a common man get such a sensitive and dangerous explosive? The police have started investigating this entire network.
