Karni Sena’s protest ended after 30 hours, protesters removed from four lane, administration gave assurance
Karni Sena’s protest in Ratlam has ended after about 30 hours. In fact, after talks and assurances from the administration, the protesters decided to move away from the four lane, so that the traffic could become normal again. Let us tell you that this demonstration under the leadership of Karni Sena family started from Tuesday in which a large number of people were standing on the Mhow-Neemuch four lane. They continued their protest by setting up tents and staying on the road overnight.
At the same time, the head of the organization, Jeevan Singh Sherpur has said that his aim was only to convey his demands to the administration. Along with this, he has also made it clear that the demonstration was completely peaceful and no disturbance was created.
What were the 11-point demands?
Actually, the main reason for this demonstration was to talk to the administration regarding 11-point demands. Let us tell you that these included issues like stopping the action being taken in the name of illegal excavation, search for missing minor, strictness on incidents of theft and action against illegal activities. Meanwhile, Jeevan Singh Sherpur said that the search for the 14-year-old girl who had been missing for two months was his biggest priority. He claimed that as soon as the protest started, the administration acted swiftly in this matter and the girl was found. On this he also raised the question whether similar protests will have to be held in every case.
The biggest controversy came to light regarding the meeting with the collector
Apart from this, the problems of farmers, difficulties in purchasing wheat and demand for basic facilities in local areas were also raised. In fact, the administration has assured to take action on all these issues as per rules. Officials say that all the demands will be investigated and necessary steps will be taken. During the dharna, the biggest controversy came up regarding the meeting with the collector. The protesters were continuously demanding to talk directly to the Collector, but the meeting could not take place. Jeevan Singh Sherpur expressed his displeasure on this and said that the Collector was too busy and did not come to listen to him.
In fact, he has also alleged that the administration prevented him from meeting and did not give him a chance to express his views in a democratic manner. The administration said that the protesters were informed about the action being taken on their demands, but they were not satisfied.
