Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar announces new project collaboration amidst Dostana 2 scuffle

Previously, Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar were supposed to work together on Dostana 2, but for some reason, that plan never materialized. It was announced in 2023 that the two would collaborate on an untitled patriotic war movie that Sandeep Modi would be directing. Following the Dostana 2 disaster, their second collab has now been revealed. This time, it’s Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, a romantic comedy.

Karan Johar handed the audience a Christmas present today, by announcing it officially. Kartik discussed how everyone was aware of his three breakups but was unaware that his ex-partners were in poor health following their split.

He said that he would do all within his ability to keep them together in order to prevent this from happening to the fourth one. The words “Love takes off soon” were displayed beside a picture of a jet in the middle of a heart. In the background, a reenactment of Saat Samundar Paar could be heard.

Karan’s penned in the caption, “Wrapped in romance, here comes the best Christmas gift ever from us to you! Starring Kartik Aaryan – Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri is coming to cinemas in 2026.”

Kartik Aaryan posted the clip and wrote, “Tumhara RAY aa raha hai RUMI. I swear by Mummy's food, this Mumma's boy keeps on feeding! (Your Ray is coming Rumi. This mumma's boy always keeps the swear he has taken on his mother). Super excited to return to my fav genre Rom-com #TuMeriMainTeraMainTeraTuMeri… The biggest love story coming to cinemas in 2026.”

Under the Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures banner the film is directed by Sameer Vidwans. Produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Shareen Mantri Kedia, and Kishor Arora, the movie is scheduled to hit theaters in 2026.
