Kartik Aaryan–Ananya Panday’s Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri screened at Rashtrapati Bhavan; netizens surprised
Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri was released in cinema halls on Thursday, December 25, 2025. However, the film has received mixed reviews from fans and critics.
Most viewers are calling it a feel-good, easy-breezy film and a light watch, while many others are slamming the makers and especially Kartik for his over-the-top acting and, more than that, his dance moves. It all started after the makers dropped the recreated version of Saath Samundar Paar, with several viewers claiming that the remake ruined the original song. Kartik, known for his dancing skills and charm, was called out for his steps, with many of the view that he merely recreated an Instagram reel stunt, aura farming, and used it as a hook step for Saath Samundar Paar.
Kartik- Ananya recreate SRK- Kajol’s song from DDLJ in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri
The next clip showed Kartik grooving to Salman Khan’s iconic Saajanji Ghar Aaye. That too didn’t sit well with netizens. Soon after, another clip surfaced on social media showing Kartik dancing to Mehendi Laga Ke Rakhna, the DDLJ song originally picturised on Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.
In the viral clips, Kartik is seen touching Neena Gupta’s feet before trying to woo Ananya Panday. Netizens weren’t happy with this either and once again trolled him. However, many came out in support and dug out an old clip from Mujhse Dosti Karoge, where a medley was picturised on Hrithik Roshan, Rani Mukerji and Kajol, pointing out that it was similar and that the hate towards Kartik is unnecessary.
Amid all this negativity surrounding Kartik, he has received intense backlash, while, for a change, Ananya has been getting accolades for her acting.
Amid the trolls, backlash and criticism, Kartik Aaryan–Ananya Panday starrer is getting screened at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday, December 28.
According to reports, the romantic comedy has been accorded two exclusive screenings at Rashtrapati Bhavan, a rare recognition reserved for films that resonate beyond box office success. Adding to this honour are three special screenings at the Films Division Auditorium, highlighting the growing appreciation the film has garnered across audiences and cultural institutions alike.

The recognition stems from the fact that Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri challenges the age-old belief that only women must leave their parental homes after marriage, offering a progressive take on partnership. The film strikes a balance between entertainment and relevant social commentary, making its impact felt beyond the screen.
However, netizens were amused and disgusted upon hearing the same and were of the view that it does not justify Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri being screened at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Many called it a waste of time, while others claimed it was all about power and money.
