In this entire case of Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh, the name of the then Tehsildar of Baroda Tehsil Amita Singh Tomar has mainly come up, who has been arrested.

Name associated with Kaun Banega Crorepati

It is being told that Amita Singh Tomar has previously participated in the popular quiz show “Kaun Banega Crorepati”, which is hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan. At one time he was known as an ordinary participant, but now his name has been linked to a big financial scam.

How did the scam happen?

According to the information, relief money was to be distributed to the victims after the flood in Sheopur district in the year 2021. This matter came to light when irregularities came to light in the audit conducted by the Deputy Collector. After this, taking immediate action, FIR was registered in Baroda police station and investigation started.

Benefits extended to relatives and acquaintances

Preliminary investigation has also revealed that instead of reaching the actual flood victims, the relief amount was sent to the accounts of relatives and acquaintances of the accused. Involvement of other Tehsil office employees and middlemen has also been found in this scam.
