In the current episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Armaan and Abhira get married after Akshara's death. The entire Poddar family is shocked to see Armaan's marriage. On the other hand, Ruhi is unable to digest the fact that Armaan is married. She calls him a cheater who promised to marry her. Kaveri gets angry at Armaan for marrying a poor girl. She removes him from the position of head of the family and asks his younger brother Rohit to take over the responsibility. But, he rejects the offer and says that no one can replace Arman.

In the upcoming episode of “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai”, Kaveri talks badly about Armaan’s biological mother and gets angry at her. Abhira learns that Armaan is going through the same situation as his family never accepted him with open arms. Ruhi, on the other hand, cannot tolerate that someone is going against the mother who died while giving birth to her son. She takes Arman's side. Kaveri learns that Abhira is a rebel and could be dangerous to the unity of her family. She supports Arman and decides to go against the family.
