Along with this, Sunrisers Leeds’ official social media account on ‘X’ has been suspended. However, the clear reason for this suspension has not been revealed yet. When anyone tries to open this account, it shows a notification of suspension. No official statement has been issued yet by ‘X’ or the franchise on this.
Franchise’s clarification on signing Abrar
Sunrisers Leeds have released a statement regarding their decision to buy Abrar Ahmed in the auction. Team head coach Daniel Vettori said, ‘Abrar has a lot of versatility and England’s domestic players have never faced him before. We went in prepared to bid on all the players that were available to us. When this option came, there were many excellent international spinners available, but Abrar remained our first choice.
Glimpse of Abrar Ahmed’s performance
27-year-old Abrar Ahmed has taken 52 wickets in 38 T20 Internationals for Pakistan. His career economy rate has been 6.67. In T20 cricket, Abrar has taken 109 wickets in a total of 84 matches. 13 Pakistani players were included in ‘The Hundred’ auction, but only two of them were bid.
