KEA UGCET: 2nd PUC third exam students to participate in extended allotment round

New Delhi: The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has allowed students who passed the second Pre-University Course (PUC) third examination a chance to participate in the Karnataka Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (UGCET) 2024 counselling phase 2 seat allotment extended round.

The KEA UGCET option entry portal to choose courses and colleges based on priority is now open and candidates can enter their options between September 30 to October 4. This round is open for third exam students as well as candidates who did not participate in the first two rounds of allotment, those who were allotted seats but did not accept them and those who have yet to receive any seats.

Provisional results for second extended round

According to a report, the provisional results for the second extended round of seat allotment will be released on October 7, with the final results to follow on October 8. Candidates who are allotted seats in this round need to make payment of the necessary fees and download their admission orders between October 9 and October 14. The last date for reporting to the allotted college is October 15, 2024.

KEA Director Prasanna stated that those who passed the Class 12 supplementary exam from other boards are required to submit their mark sheets and CET admit card to the exam conducting authority by September 30. To receive the CET rank and participate in the option entry process, it is mandatory to share the mark sheet and admit card.

Meanwhile, the CET ranks for students from the Karnataka PUC department who passed the third exam have already been determined using marks provided by the department.

Candidates need to note that after the second extended round results are announced, there will be no further chances to enter choices. If a student is allotted a seat but does not take admission, he or she will have to pay a penalty which is five times the engineering fee set by the government. The KEA also announced that the admission process for medical, dental, and AYUSH courses will be conducted separately and the schedule will be made available soon.
