‘Kedarnath is a place of peace for me’, Sara Ali Khan’s old statement goes viral again amid entry controversy of non-Hindus

Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) has decided to implement strict rules regarding the entry of non-Hindus, after which debate has erupted everywhere. Meanwhile, the old statement of actress Sara Ali Khan is again going viral on social media.
What is the new rule of BKTC?
According to the new decision of the temple committee, now only non-Hindus will be able to enter the main premises of Kedarnath and Badrinath, who give a formal affidavit of faith in Sanatan Dharma. Committee Chairman Hemant Dwivedi says that this step has been taken to maintain the sanctity and traditions of these Dhams. He also clarified that these are religious places and not just tourist centres.
Why is Sara Ali Khan’s statement going viral?
After this decision, an old interview of Sara Ali Khan has come into discussion. Sara, who has visited Kedarnath temple many times, has often been a victim of trolling because of this.
In her interview, Sara had said that her visit to Kedarnath is a completely personal and spiritual experience. He said,
“I find solace, peace and happiness there. I consider myself an Indian first and foremost and do not bind myself within the boundaries of any one religion.”
