Kedarnath walking tour goes smoothly, teams are deployed at sensitive places, horse-mule operations still closed

The Yatra on Kedarnath foot route is being conducted normally on Saturday. Whereas horse-mule operations are still closed after heavy boulders fell near Chhauri. The work of clearing debris on the route is going on and teams are deployed for security at sensitive places.

District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar said that teams of disaster management, police, SDRF and NDRF are continuously monitoring the footpath. Passengers are being made to cross safely in landslide affected areas. He said that the work of removing boulders and debris from the road is going on at a fast pace.

After its completion, horse-mule operation will also be started. On the other hand, the weather in Kedarghati still remains bad and it is raining intermittently. In such a situation, passengers have been appealed to follow the advisory of the administration in view of the weather conditions and take special caution in sensitive areas.
