Kejriwal-Sisodia reached Rajghat, bowed to Bapu and resolved to remain firm on the path of Satyagraha.
Tezzbuzz Desk – Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia reached Raj Ghat on Tuesday, where they paid homage at the Samadhi of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. During this time, many Aam Aadmi Party MLAs, senior leaders and a large number of workers were also present with him. After reaching Rajghat, both the leaders reiterated their resolve to follow the path of Satyagraha.
Resolve to follow the path shown by Bapu
Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that he along with Manish Sisodia and other colleagues have reached Rajghat to pay homage to Bapu. He said that Mahatma Gandhi had shown the country the path of truth, non-violence and Satyagraha, and even today the same path is the biggest strength of struggle.
Kejriwal said, “My only prayer to Bapu is that he always gives strength to our resolve to follow the path of Satyagraha shown by him. I have unwavering faith that with Bapu’s blessings, we will remain firm on this difficult path of Satyagraha with full devotion.”
Expressed confidence in the court and justice system
While talking to the media, Arvind Kejriwal also reacted to the cases pending against him. He said that the matter is in the court and he has full respect for the judiciary.
He said, “We respect the court a lot. It is this justice system and the judiciary that got us bail and relieved us from the charges. If we are free today, it is because of our justice system.”
However, he also said that some circumstances have arisen due to which he has to adopt the path of Satyagraha. He told that he has mentioned all these things in the letter written to the concerned judge.
Manish Sisodia also reiterated his resolve
Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia, while speaking at Rajghat, said that Mahatma Gandhi has always taught to struggle for truth.
He said that Bapu inspired us that we should not retreat from the path of truth even in difficult circumstances. Today, the resolve to carry forward the same ideology has become stronger.
