Sanju Samson will get special honor by Kerala Government, will be honored at Central Stadium on 16th March
Kerala Government Felicitation Ceremony: Sanju Samson, who played an important role in helping India win the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, will be honored by the Kerala government. Kerala Sports Minister V Abdurahiman said that this felicitation ceremony will be organized at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday.
The state government recognized Samson for his outstanding performance and as ‘Player of the Tournament’ Considering his title, it has been decided to give him this honour. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the event, and the Sports Minister, Chief Secretary and other senior officials will also be present.

Sanju Samson, a resident of Vizhinjam, contributed significantly to India’s victory by batting brilliantly in the T20 World Cup. His explosive innings in the tournament helped India perform at a high level, and Samson’s comeback proved that tough times never last long for them.

There was a decline in form before the World Cup
It was not an easy start for Samson in the tournament. He was able to score only 46 runs in five T20 matches against New Zealand. He also got a chance to play against Namibia in the group stage when Abhishek Sharma was not available due to stomach infection. After this, Samson was again included in the team for the Super-8 match against Zimbabwe. Samson scored 24 runs in 15 balls against Zimbabwe.
