Kerala Law Minister P Rajeev expressed concern over the grant of bail to the Tantri of Sabarimala temple, said the court order is like the final decision.

New Delhi. Kerala Law Minister P Rajeev has expressed concern over the Kollam Court’s decision to grant bail to the Tantri of Sabarimala Temple. He has described the order as strange and like a final decision. He also said that the High Court is monitoring the investigation by the Special Investigation Team and the government is appealing against this decision. There is no need to give any opinion to the government. The Kollam Court’s decision was like a final decision. The manner of the order was similar to the Supreme Court decision. There is something strange in the order granting bail to Tantri. The Sabarimala gold theft case pertains to allegations of misappropriation of about 4.54 kg of gold from the sacred temple shrines, including the door frames of the Srikovil and the Dwarapalaka idols. It is being said that this theft took place in 2019 on the pretext of refinishing the temple structures and coating them with gold again.

Let us tell you that this controversy started in 1998 with the donation of industrialist Vijay Mallya, who had donated 30.3 kg of gold and 1,900 kg of copper for gold plating and cladding of the Sabarimala Ayyappa temple. Subsequent investigation and court-monitored inquiries revealed discrepancies in the amount of gold donated and the amount allegedly used. Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala also raised questions on the arrest and jailing of Tantri Kandararu Rajivaru. Speaking to media persons here, Chennithala said that this is a shock for the entire Kerala community. Tantri Kandararu Rajivaaru is the representative of Lord Ayyappa. Without any evidence, how can he arrest them and put them in jail for 41 days. The senior Congress leader also alleged that the Chief Minister’s office is involved in this matter. He said that in this case there is suspicion of the Chief Minister’s office being involved in such activities. This is very unfortunate. Minister Rajiv also commented on the protest at the Health Minister’s house and said that the Health Minister is a woman. Offering flowers to their house is not the right way to protest. Don’t private hospitals also have shortcomings? If there is any deficiency, action will be taken.
