Kerala Politics: Pinarayi Vijayan’s big attack on Rahul Gandhi

Kerala Politics: The rhetoric has once again intensified in Kerala politics. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, calling him the ‘B-Team’ of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This statement has given rise to a new debate not only in state but also in national politics. Vijayan’s allegations have further exposed the ongoing conflict between the Congress and the Left parties.
Vijayan’s allegation
Pinarayi Vijayan said that both Congress and BJP have been adopting similar strategies against the Left Democratic Front (LDF) led by the Communist Party of India (Marxist) i.e. CPI(M). According to him, both the parties now seem to be in sync with each other in many matters.
He also said that if seen at the national level, Congress led by Rahul Gandhi has now become the real ‘B-Team’ of BJP. Although he did not discuss it in detail, his statement is considered very important politically.
Personal comment on Rahul Gandhi
Making a personal comment on Rahul Gandhi, Vijayan said that he is one of those people who does not want to learn from his experiences. He said that such people are very few and generally they are not able to understand things properly.
He also said that Rahul Gandhi falls in this category. Such remarks have further heated up the political atmosphere, as it is not just a political criticism but also targets the personal level.
Accusation of appeasement politics
The Chief Minister of Kerala accused Congress of doing appeasement politics. He said the Congress’ aim was to garner the support of both majority and minority communal groups.
According to Vijayan, this kind of politics can be dangerous for the country, as it increases division in the society. He said that the Left parties are completely against this kind of politics and always stand with secular values.
LDF’s strategy
Pinarayi Vijayan clarified that LDF’s stand is completely against communalism. He said that his alliance will not compromise with any kind of communal force.
He stressed that to keep the country safe and united, it is necessary to stay away from all forms of communalism. He also said that parties which work only to get votes cannot stick to this principle.
UDF also targeted
Vijayan also attacked the United Democratic Front (UDF). He alleged that UDF is now preparing to compromise with communal forces. According to him, this stance can be dangerous for the country, no matter what form communalism takes. He said that this kind of politics creates imbalance in the society and it is necessary to stop it.
Mention of Kejriwal case
Vijayan also mentioned Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal in his statement. He said that Rahul Gandhi had made serious allegations against Kejriwal, but a Delhi court rejected those allegations. He called it a big blow to the Congress and said that such cases prove that it is not right to make allegations without solid basis.
