Kesar Phirni Recipe

1 liter milk

1 cup sugar

5 drops rose water

5 threads saffron

75 grams rice flour

50 grams soaked basmati rice

1/2 teaspoon ground green cardamom

10 chopped pistachios

25 grams chopped almonds

To make this easy sweet recipe, boil milk. Lower the flame and let the milk simmer until it reduces slightly. Grind the soaked rice and make a coarse paste.

Add some milk to it and mix it until it becomes slightly thin. Add sugar to the remaining milk and continue boiling.

Add rice paste to hot milk and keep stirring continuously. After this add cardamom powder and rose water. Keep aside in a small pot. Chill in the refrigerator for about 3 – 4 hours.

Garnish it with pistachios and almonds and serve.
