Keynes Semicon plant inaugurated in Gujarat: PM Modi emphasizes India’s semiconductor self-reliance with ‘Made in India, Make for the World’

Gujarat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Kens Semicon plant in Sanand, Gujarat. This is being considered a major step towards increasing self-reliance in the semiconductor sector in India. After the inauguration, PM Modi visited the plant and talked to operators and engineers.

Message of Make in India, Make for the World-
PM Modi, in his address, said that his continued presence in Sanand reflects India’s momentum in the region. He informed that a new bridge has been established between Sanand and Silicon Valley. A large portion of the products manufactured here have already been booked for export, spreading the message of “Make in India, Make for the World” globally.

Indian companies are becoming part of the global semiconductor supply chain-
PM Modi said that Indian companies like Keynes have now become a strong part of the global semiconductor supply chain. He expressed confidence that in the coming times, many more Indian companies will provide reliable and strong semiconductor supply chains to the world.

Infusion of new enthusiasm in engineering-
IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the Prime Minister has fulfilled the dreams of every engineer today. The construction of the plant and commencement of production in just 14 months is a success of the efforts of the Prime Minister’s leadership and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.

Vaishnav said that the first plant was inaugurated on February 28, the second on March 31, and the third plant will be inaugurated in July. A target has been set to start four plants by the end of this year. He concluded his address with a poem:
“Open my wings, the bird says, there is still more flight left, my destination is not the land, the whole sky is still left.”

Better ecosystem for industries-
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that a strong industrial ecosystem is being created under the leadership of the Prime Minister. With the cooperation of the Central Government, logistics infrastructure is being developed rapidly, which will provide huge benefits to the industries.
