Kiara Advani agrees with Deepika Padukone’s 8-hour shift demands: “Burnout doesn’t help”
Kiara Advani has come out in support of Deepika Padukone’s 8-hour work shift demand. After Keerthy Suresh and Rashmika Mandanna expressed their agreement with the 8-hour workweek, Kiara has also resonated with the idea. The new mommy did an extensive photoshoot for the magazine cover of Vogue and opened up about a lot of aspects.
Kiara’s take
Kiara spoke about motherhood and mental health. On being asked about her take on the 8-hour work shift demands, the actress agreed, saying that a burnout never helps anyone.
“Burnout helps no one in any industry,” the 34-year-old actress said.
Kiara went on to add that she is choosing projects now where she feels a connection to her soul.

Destressing process
Kiara went on to add that she treats everyone at home and in the crew with three words—dignity, respect, and balance. Talking about how she destresses, the ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ actress said that it is the sound of the giggles of her newborn Saraayah that makes her relax and rejuvenate. She also added that post-motherhood, she wants to expand and do more good work.

What had Deepika said
The whole debate around 8-hour work shifts began with Deepika Padukone reportedly walking out of two big-budget films over extensive shooting schedules. Padukone quit Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Spirit’ and Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2’ over it. “
We’ve normalised overworking. We mistake burnout for commitment. Eight hours of work a day is enough for the human body and mind,” she had told Harper’s Bazaar.
“Only when you’re healthy can you give your best. Bringing a burnt-out person back into the system helps no one. In my own office, we work eight hours a day, Monday to Friday. We have maternity and paternity policies. We should normalise bringing children to work,” she had added.
