North Korea 600 mm Rocket Launcher : North Korea has once again shocked the world. Dictator Kim Jong Un has demonstrated a full battery of his upgraded 600mm rocket launcher system. The range of this weapon is up to 400 kilometers and it is also said to have the capability to carry nuclear weapons.

Praising this weapon, Kim said that when it is used, no one can escape even under the protection of God. Describing it as perfect for strategic missions, he said that this weapon can turn the target into ashes by concentrating its destructive energy at one place and attacking suddenly and simultaneously.

World’s largest rocket artillery system

America has named this weapon KN-25. With 600mm caliber and approximately eight meters length, it is the world’s largest rocket artillery system. The weight of each rocket is estimated to be approximately three tonnes. This new upgraded version looks quite different from the earlier model. In 2024 it received a new chassis, similar to that used in the KN-23 short-range ballistic missile. The KN-25’s 400 km strike range makes it particularly dangerous as it covers the entire South Korea. This weapon erases the line between conventional artillery and tactical ballistic missiles.

also capable of carrying nuclear weapons

Initially it was described as carrying only a high-explosive warhead, but it was later included in the list of North Korean weapons capable of carrying tactical nuclear weapons. Kim described it as suitable for a strategic mission, which in Pyongyang’s language is considered a sign of nuclear capability. It also has a new navigation and control system, which has been designed to protect against external electronic interference. This upgrade is a major step towards increasing the accuracy of the weapon and reducing the threat of electronic warfare.

Weapon display also gives political message

The weapon was demonstrated just ahead of a major ruling party congress, where Kim Jong Un is expected to announce future military priorities. Analysts believe that this demonstration is not just a military but also a political message.
