Kim Kardashian sparks controversy claiming NASA’s moon
Kim Kardashian is facing extreme criticism after making controversial remarks about NASA’s historic 1969 moon landing. The 45-year-old media personality and business mogul claimed that the United States government and NASA faked the iconic space mission.
According to sources, Kardashian’s claims stem from videos circulating on TikTok. These clips, often manipulated, appear to show original moonwalker and astronaut Buzz Aldrin seemingly denying the moon landing. An insider told Radar Online that Kardashian’s interpretation of the videos is misleading.
The SKIMS founder highlighted a segment from one viral clip in which a reporter asks Aldrin, “What was the scariest moment?” and Aldrin replies, “There was no scary moment, cause it didn’t happen.” Kardashian interpreted this as Aldrin questioning the moon landing.
Multiple experts and sources quickly clarified that Aldrin was not disputing the historic event. Instead, he was simply explaining that he personally did not experience anything “scary” during his mission to the moon.
Despite these clarifications, Kardashian doubled down on her claim. “I’ve seen a few videos [of] Buzz Aldrin talking about how it didn’t happen. He says it all the time now, in interviews, So I think it didn’t happen. I don’t think we did. I think it was fake,” she stated.
She encouraged her followers to investigate the videos themselves, saying, “They’re gonna say I’m crazy no matter what. But like, go to TikTok. See for yourself.”
Kardashian’s comments have sparked a flurry of debate on social media, with critics accusing her of spreading misinformation and misinterpreting historical facts. Meanwhile, the conversation has reignited discussions about the influence of social media platforms like TikTok on public perception and the spread of manipulated content.
The controversy demonstrates the potential for viral clips to shape opinions, even leading public figures to question well-documented historical events.
