King Kohli’s 54th century, historic victory over Kiwi team

New Delhi: In the final match of the India-New Zealand series, Virat Kohli once again showed his batting magic. When Team India’s key batsmen Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill got out early, the hopes of the entire country were pinned on Virat. He once again proved his mastery in run chasing and scored the 54th century of his career. Kohli performed this under pressure, which further strengthened his position.

Team India faced initial setbacks

After losing the toss and coming to bat first, the beginning of the Indian team’s innings was very negative. Captain Shubhman Gill returned to the pavilion soon after scoring 23 runs and experienced batsman Rohit Sharma scored 11 runs. After this Shreyas Iyer was out on 3 runs and KL Rahul was out on 1 run. At that time it seemed that the Indian team would be bundled out within 150 runs, but Virat Kohli showed his experience at the crease.

Scored 114 runs in 100 balls

Virat Kohli overcame the pressure and demonstrated his excellent batting. He played an unbeaten inning of 114 runs in 100 balls, which included 8 brilliant fours and 3 sixes. This is the 54th century of his ODI career, which proves that he is still one of the best finishers in the world.

Important contribution of Nitish Reddy and Harshit Rana

Kohli got support from young all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy at the other end. She played an excellent inning of 53 runs in 57 balls and celebrated her first half-century in Pushpa style. In the end, Harshit Rana also strengthened India’s score by scoring a quick 42 runs.

A look at the scorecard:

Rohit Sharma: 11 (13 balls)

Shubhman Gill: 23 (18 balls)

Virat Kohli: 114* (100 balls)

Nitish Reddy: 53 (57 balls)

New Zealand bowlers face

Chris Clarke and Jayden Lennox bowled effectively for New Zealand, but they failed to destroy Kohli’s strong intentions. Taking advantage of the small ground of Indore, Kohli hit shots in every direction and provided important support to the team in the chase of fast runs.
