Yes, that’s what happened. Actually, this entire incident happened on the fourth ball of the first over of UP Warriors’ innings. Renuka had delivered this ball outside the stumps, which after hitting the pitch, came rapidly inwards towards Kiran Navgire (1 run on 4 balls). It was so much that the UP batsman lost her senses and got dodged and bowled. WPL itself has shared the video of this entire incident from its official X account which you can watch below.

Let us tell you that till the time of writing the news, Renuka Singh Thakur has bowled 3 overs for Gujarat Giants and taken 2 wickets for UP Warriors giving only 19 runs at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Apart from Kiran Navgire, he has shown the way to the pavilion by dismissing Deepti Sharma (01 run on 02 balls).

It is noteworthy that 30-year-old Renuka Singh Thakur was a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team till the last WPL season, but RCB released her before WPL 2026, after which Gujarat Giants had a bidding war with UP Warriors in the WPL auction and bought Renuka for Rs 60 lakh.
